Peggy Halverson grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Even at a young age she had artistic talent and also loved technology. After graduating, she entered the field of electronics, working for Univac (Remington Rand) in Roseville, MN.
In 1967, Peggy moved to Southern California and started a 17 year career with Hughes Aircraft, working on the first space probe, and later for Beckman Instruments as an Electronics Designer, designing and building production equipment for the company.
After leaving Beckman Instruments, she then worked for a Sound System company and spent 2 years designing and installing a huge sound system for the stand alone round Aladdin Theater in Las Vegas. In fact they were building the roof over her head as she worked, wiring, soldering, and running on the catwalks. (fun)
Eventually, because of her love of Art, she moved into a position at the Composition Department for a newspaper, designing display ads. There, she aquired Marketing and Advertising experience. In 1995 Peggy attended a newspaper convention about putting newspapers online. She had a lightbulb moment, realizing that this was her destiny, to be a web designer. Not only was she able to satisfy her creative side with graphics and photos, but could also fullfull the desire to work with technology, programming the html documents and other functions on the website.
In 1996, Peggy started Designett Web Design, growing with the Internet. Today. Peggy still loves designing web sites, and loves launching new businesses and ventures on the net. Check out the testimonial page and see what her clients think!
